Gotta Get Down on Friday

No money, no plans... just me and two of my best friends trying to amuse ourselves on a Friday night.  I can't believe that everyone is leaving me so soon to go to school. It just hasn't set in yet. As excited as I am to open a new chapter in my life, I am horrible with change.

Graduation

Taylor, Ashley & Me
Ashley, Me & CJ
My little cousins and uncle decorated the driveway for me!

So this weekend was graduation and I am officially done with high school! This weekend was full of graduation parties, eating out, spending time with friends, family and receiving some pretty awesome gifts. The lack of pictures is due to my phone breaking and the whole fiasco I went through yesterday to get a new one, but the good news is that for graduation my parents got me the camera I have been wanting for forever, a Nikon 5100.
Even though I think it is kind of silly to wear choir robes, flat hats, and walk across the stage. And considering graduating high school is expected you get a lot of gifts for that 'huge accomplishment'. I guess it is a milestone in your life. Things are different, and celebrating change is the best way to deal with it in the end. Although I still see a lot of fuzziness in regard to my future, it was great to be surrounded by people who truly care about me this weekend. Its good to know you have a few things that will never change.

What I did Instead...

Well there was a project that I should have been doing this weekend, this is what I did instead.

This confuses me?

Lake Day
To say the least it was an eventful weekend that also included my plane ticket purchase to LA so I can visit and old friend, and I also found my apartment that I will be moving into mid-July. Clearly money is tight right now, especially after I buy the three concert tickets for August (Maroon 5, Parachute/Goo Goo Dolls, and Ke$ha.) I should probably stay away from the mall.
Its so weird to think that in two weeks I will never again walk into a high school as a student again. But I am more than excited about all of the things I can do instead. I just haven't decided what yet.

Don't Rain on My Parade

Me & Shelbi

Best Friends

Little Brother

Best Prom Date Ever

My sister posing as an angel & I as a devil
So I went to prom. Trust me, I tried many ways to get out of it. Mel did my hair and after she refused to run me over with her car... I went to Danelle's (who was crowned prom queen later that night) where we took pictures. Dinner was at a different friends house, it was so awkward. I was afraid that I would be the stereotypical girl crying in the bathroom at prom. But we got on the bus, I sucked it up, the energy drink began to work and I had..... fun. I had fun. (I keep saying it because it is seriously surprising even to myself.)
So it worked out, as all things do. Yes they didn't go as originally planned: no date ended up being no problem. I'm lucky to have fun friends and a family who encouraged me to enjoy myself, because in the end you cant let others rain on your parade, or prom for that matter.

p.s. I bet you cant guess how much I spent on my dress ;)
