I spent how much?

Sorry I've been MIA lately... all this graduation stuff and exams has me swamped. Well today I passed my English exam which is good cause that means that Saturday I will be receiving my diploma.
These are just a few pictures of the latest shopping trip I went on. Yeah so much for not spending any money.... $100 at Forever XXI. Shelbi continuously tells me that I have a shopping problem. Which I do. Hey, the first step is accepting it right?

The Penguin

Shelbi & Tess

Fried Pickles

Random Camo Jeep
Dairy Queen
Haha this made us laugh
So yesterday Tess, Shelbi and myself went Uptown for a little pre-summer adventure. Originally we planned to go to open mic night at a little Caribbean restaurant but there was a poor turnout so we wandered down the street and ended up at The Penguin in Plaza Midwood. It was my first time there. Its known as a burger joint: but due to the fact I don't eat red meat I got wings. Messy but good. Then we stopped at a Dairy Queen and got mini blizzards.
I love Dairy Queen for three reasons. 1. Blizzards 2. It always reminds me of my grandpa cause every time we visit WV he makes sure to take us to the local Moundsville Dairy Queen. Its tradition. 3. My parents named me after a girl that worked at DQ. Weird. But really when my parents were expecting me they went to a Dairy Queen and noticed that the girl who worked behind the counter's name was 'Amber'. They liked it. Ironic because my first job was at an ice cream shop.
Last night was a glimpse of how I plan on spending the upcoming summer evenings. Good company. Good food. Good Memories.

Playing Hookie

So I woke up this morning with the intention of going to school but then I got a text from my favorite little breakfast shop Cast Iron Waffles announcing today was dollar waffle day with any other purchase. Since my AP exams are done and over with I knew that I would only be missing a movie so me and my best friend Shelbi skipped our first block and went to get waffles, and spent the extra time shopping at Target.
I started looking through all of the home goods at Target and it is getting me so excited for my apartment that I plan on getting soon. So now I am on a spending hold so that when I do move out I can afford it, especially because I have a lot to buy to make my new place livable. I am so excited for everything that is coming up and although I am a little nervous about my next year I am comforted to know I have such good friends & waffles!

Don't Rain on My Parade

Me & Shelbi

Best Friends

Little Brother

Best Prom Date Ever

My sister posing as an angel & I as a devil
So I went to prom. Trust me, I tried many ways to get out of it. Mel did my hair and after she refused to run me over with her car... I went to Danelle's (who was crowned prom queen later that night) where we took pictures. Dinner was at a different friends house, it was so awkward. I was afraid that I would be the stereotypical girl crying in the bathroom at prom. But we got on the bus, I sucked it up, the energy drink began to work and I had..... fun. I had fun. (I keep saying it because it is seriously surprising even to myself.)
So it worked out, as all things do. Yes they didn't go as originally planned: no date ended up being no problem. I'm lucky to have fun friends and a family who encouraged me to enjoy myself, because in the end you cant let others rain on your parade, or prom for that matter.

Amber

p.s. I bet you cant guess how much I spent on my dress ;)

The Ship Has Docked

Okay, so its back to reality now, and lets just say its hitting hard. I just got home last night and I am already back to school and my two jobs. Even though I am stressing about how all of my clothes that are lying dirty in my suitcase, it was so worth it. The vacation was much needed, and getting to spend my senior spring break with my best friend made it perfect. I ate so much food, got tan and met some really fun people. I could write about it forever but I'll just post a few pictures instead!
