Moving In

So I made it to Spain. The whole getting here was an adventure in itself. Saying goodbye to the fam was wayyyyyy harder than what I thought it was going to be. Although I know it is only "see you later," it is still always sad. After saying goodbye I was clearly upset so this random older man came up to me and gave me a hug. And really it was surprising that there are actually a lot of really nice people out there.
Boston was a pain though and I spent two of the four and a half hours of my layover trying to find my gate. Then I had to go running through the Dublin airport to make sure that I caught my flight. That was interesting. I made it through my whole flight though unscathed: caught every flight, all my luggage arrived, and I semi-conquered my fear of airports.
I arrived to smiles, hugs, and a spongebob poster the boys made for me. It was a very sweet welcoming and I think that I will feel right at home here.
Everyone keeps asking me to tell them what it's like and I feel at a loss of where to start because there is so much to tell. Basically its just different, and I realize that learning Spanish is going to be very important. It is so strange to sit and not understand a single thing that anyone is saying. I try to keep up but my obvious lack of anything Spanish makes that difficult. There is no question that I am going to learn a lot, maybe have a few difficult times, and make some new friends.
For now I'll just leave you with a few glamorous pictures of my room.  I will be taking more pictures in the near future and will be posting them.
